This work, a centerpiece of the series Of Desire and Anime, serves as a visual laboratory where the energy of a sexual encounter is translated into pictorial matter. Rooted in the premise of Deleuze and Guattari in Anti-Oedipus, the painting approaches desire not as a lack or a void to be filled, but as a productive force—a current that flows through us, connects us, and reproduces itself in a relentless stream.
To capture this potency, the work moves away from traditional anatomical representation. Instead, I utilize hentai screenshots as conceptual raw material, processing them through Heather Warren-Crow’s theory of "The Plastic Image." In this context, the animated figure is not a fixed biological entity but an infinitely malleable surface, capable of stretching, distorting, and repeating. This plasticity allows me to explore a female identity that expands beyond physical boundaries, transforming the composition into a "moment in motion" that inherits the rhythmic logic of digital animation.
Furthermore, the piece engages with Anne Anlin Cheng’s concept of Ornamentalism. By fragmenting and repeating these hentai imaginaries, the synthesized body becomes an ornamental surface where the boundary between personhood and artifice dissolves. Skin becomes a screen, and desire is encoded into textures, colors, and visual rhythms that challenge the external and normative gaze.
Through repetition and distortion, I seek to represent sexuality in all its ambivalence. By combining the graphic intensity of adult animation with a painterly sensitivity, How good it is to make love to you!!! constitutes a testimony of autonomy. It is an affirmation of the need for a representation where female desire is shown in its full complexity, free from external mediation, serving as a guide toward imagining new and radical forms of sexual liberation.
